However, the demand for raw milk restrains the drop in world prices for stock exchange goods and the reduction in the volume of exports of dairy products, according to Georghii Kukhaleishvili, analyst at the Association of Milk Producers (AMP).

Dairy Farms in Western Regions Show the Highest Milk Yields
The commercial sector has increased its raw milk production since the beginning of 2025, driven by the development of dairy farms in the western regions, which are boosting their milk yields, reports Georghii Kukhaleishvili, an analyst at the Association of Milk Producers. According to preliminary data from the State Statistics Service, in July 2025, farms of all categories produced 663 thousand tonnes of raw milk, which is 6 thousand tonnes more (+1%) than in June 2025 but 11 thousand tonnes less (+2%) than in July 2024.

Industrial Sector Increased Milk Yield in January-April 2025
Dairy farms increased the production of raw milk in January-April 2025 by 5%, which outpaces the growth rate of milk yield among leading exporters of dairy products. New Zealand increased raw milk production by only 0.2% during this period, while Australia and the Netherlands reduced milk yield by 2%. However, the situation in the dairy market does not favor further growth in milk yield in the industrial sector, according to Georghii Kukhaleishvili, an analyst at the Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine.
